GOVERNANCE 

 

 

The Corporation is governed by an eleven member volunteer Board of Directors who have the responsibility to provide leadership and guidance to ensure the organization is doing what it is intended to do which is to provide medical and dental care to residents residing in areas that have been designated as medically underserved.

 

The Board serves to link the Community Health Centers by serving as a voice of the communities; 51% of the Board’s members are individuals who are served by the centers and who as a group represent the individuals who are being served in terms of demographic factors; i.e., race, ethnicity, sex, income. The Board is placed in a position of trust by the community and has a fiduciary responsibility for management of the organization.
